Today on the show we are going to be talking about ways that we deceive ourselves that feels like it is doing the right thing. Today we are going to be talking about a specific type of species of brand bullshit that I call noble bullshit.  Noble bullshit is something that entrepreneurs will experience at every level of their journey.  There are some very common and fairly visible ones at the earlier stages of entrepreneurship that many people experience and there are some more subtle ones that we will get into as well.

Why do I say noble bullshit? A lot of these things feel like you are doing the right thing. It feels like you are doing a good thing so you feel noble when you are lost in this distraction. That is why they are so dangerous because it might feel like the right thing but it is hurting you in the long run.

In This Episode:

  • Education is a common trap and it feels noble because our whole lives we have been taught to value education.
  • One of the most common distractions of this job is actually being lost in the low-value details and the business of your business.
  • Whatever you're getting on social media is a reflection of what you are asking for in terms of your behavior and responding to.  If you behave in a different way with the intention of getting clients, engaging with them in a meaningful way, and creating content that speaks to them you are going to get very different results.
  • And so much more!!!
